Here are some helpful tips from Leisure Time Spa Chemicals

Cloudy Water-possible lack of sanitizer, dirty filter, or PH and akalinity out of balance

    Solution- try to clean filter with filter clean, use bright and clear, or shock

Chalky White Deposits- water out of balance

    Solution- use defender on a weekly basis

Cloudy Green Water- not enough sanitizer

    Solution- Shock

Clear Green Water- Dissolved copper or iron in water

    Solution- Add Metal Gon

Brown Water- High iron or manganese

    Solution- Add Metal Gon

Odor- excessive organic contaminants

    Solution- Shock

Eye/Skin Irritation- Chloramines or excessive organic contaminates or water out of balance

    Solution- Test water and adjust ph with spa up or spa down or shock

Skum Deposit on Water Line- Oils, lotions and detergents in water

    Solution- Add Enzyme

Escessive Foaming- Build up from body oils, cosmetics, and detergents

    Solution- Add Foam Down
